Description
The Department of Homeland Security announces FY 2027 inflation adjustments to two immigration enforcement-related fees established by HR-1. The adjusted amount is $5,300 for aliens ordered removed in absentia who are subsequently arrested, and for inadmissible aliens apprehended between ports of entry. DHS will begin assessing and collecting the adjusted fees on October 16, 2026, and will individually notify affected aliens with payment instructions.
