Repair of Two P-3 Aircraft Trim-Tab Components for South Korea

The Department of the Navy is seeking repairs to two P-3 aircraft trim-tab components for South Korea under a Foreign Military Sales case. - Buyer: Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS), Philadelphia; procurement contact: Carmelena Oldroyd. - Requested repairs: One TAB,TRIM,AILERO (P/N 801670-102; NSN 1560-00-927-4094) and one TAB AIL TRIM (P/N 801670-101; NSN 1560-00-927-4095). The contractor provides the labor, materials, and parts needed to evaluate and restore each government-furnished component to operable condition. - OEMs and vendors: No component manufacturer or repair vendor is identified in the provided material. P-3 identifies the aircraft platform; the documents do not name its manufacturer. - Key requirements: Government inspection and acceptance, CAV reporting, and overseas commercial packaging apply. Packaging instructions specify clean/dry preservation, protection level A, unit-container level B, and other item-specific packing and marking parameters. - Turnaround and source approval: Repair turnaround is 90 days after receipt for P/N 801670-102 and 228 days after receipt for P/N 801670-101. Description

This is a solicitation for the repair of Navy Weapon System P3 Aircraft - Solicitation for NAVSUP WSS to repair 1 unit of TAB, TRIM, AILERO and  1 unit of TAB AIL TRIM for the country of South Korea.

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to repair and/or modify the items as specified within this document.

The Government intends to solicit only one source (IMP AEROSPACE AVIONICS) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government does not possess (or cannot provide) the data necessary to perform the required repairs or manufacture of the items.

All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to the notice.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.

However, all proposals received within 5 days after the publication of this solicitation notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Source Approval is required. WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending.

The time for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair.
