NAVSUP WSS Philadelphia is seeking repair of a government-owned infrared receiver for a P-8 aircraft supporting South Korea’s Foreign Military Sales program. - Government buyer: Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS), Philadelphia office. - Requested repair: One RECEIVER, INFRARED, part number 001-008087-0006, NSN 5865-01-591-6897 (NIIN 015916897). - Repair work includes evaluation, inspection, disassembly, testing, repair, and packaging to restore the receiver to operational condition; labor, materials, parts, and facilities are required. - Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. is identified as the intended single source because the Government lacks the repair and manufacturing data. Source approval is required. - Turnaround and acceptance: Complete repair within 76 days after receipt of the asset. The Government will conduct final inspection and acceptance. - Packaging: Preserve the item clean and dry, use the specified cushioning between the barrier bag and unit container, and package and mark it for overseas shipment. - FMS support: The repair is associated with South Korea FMS Case KS-P-MIH.
Description
This is a solicitation for the repair of Navy Weapon System P8 Aircraft - Solicitation for NAVSUP WSS to repair 1 unit of RECEIVER INFRARED for the country of South Korea.
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to repair and/or modify the items as specified within this document.
The Government intends to solicit only one source (NORTHROP GRUMMAN SYSTEMS CORP.) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government does not possess (or cannot provide) the data necessary to perform the required repairs or manufacture of the items.
All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to the notice.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
However, all proposals received within 5 days after the publication of this solicitation notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Source Approval is required. WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending.
The time for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. If you are not an approved source you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair.
