Description

The James Island Public Service District is requesting qualifications from utility and plumbing contractors to install approximately 150 residential sewer service lines in the Clarks Point subdivision on James Island. The lines will connect recently installed JIPSD sewer service connections to house sewers currently discharging into septic tanks. JIPSD expects to pre-qualify approximately six contractors, then seek competitive lump-sum bids for groups of approximately four to six service lines, with work beginning in late summer 2026 and continuing into 2027. Qualification responses are due May 14, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.; an informational meeting is scheduled for May 7 at 2:00 p.m.
