Jefferson Parish Medical Review Officer and Substance-Use Testing Services

Jefferson Parish is seeking qualified Medical Review Officer (MRO) providers for its employee substance-use program. - Government buyer: Parish of Jefferson, Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department. - Requested service: MRO support for Parish employees and prospective employees, including drug and/or alcohol testing and review and verification of test results. - Related work includes medication and record reviews, consultations, office visits connected to test results, and expert-witness testimony. - Provider requirements: Maintain an office or practice on either the East Bank or West Bank of Jefferson Parish; hold a current Louisiana medical license in good standing; maintain current SAMHSA-accredited MRO certification; and qualify as an MRO expert in a Louisiana, federal, or state court. - Any specimen collectors used must be SAMHSA-certified. - Proposals should describe the provider’s approach, experience serving populations of 2,000 or more employees, references, relevant training, and ability to respond promptly. - Minimum stated office staffing: one doctor, two medical assistants, and one support staff member. - The Parish may select one or more providers. No OEMs, vendors, product part numbers, or product quantities are named.

Jefferson Parish is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from qualified vendors to provide Medical Review Officer services for its substance use program. Services include drug and/or alcohol testing and medication review for Parish employees and prospective employees, as well as related matters. Proposers must maintain an office or practice on the East Bank or West Bank of Jefferson Parish and meet the stated Louisiana medical licensure, MRO certification, and expertise qualifications. The Parish may award the services to one or more vendors, and submissions are due October 30, 2026.
