Clemson University is seeking one complete inert-atmosphere glovebox system for laboratory research with air- and moisture-sensitive materials. - Government buyer: Clemson University, Procurement. - OEM/reference model: Vigor Tech USA, Inc., Model SG1500/750TS is the preferred specification basis; equivalent systems from other manufacturers are acceptable if bidders document compliance. - System requested: One new glovebox system compatible with nitrogen, argon, or helium, with approximate internal dimensions of 1500 × 750 × 900 mm. It must include SUS304 stainless steel or equivalent construction, automated controls and pressure management, three glove ports and gloves, lighting, shelving, casters and levelers, and one large and one small antechamber. - Include an integrated purifier and oxygen/moisture analyzers, vacuum pump of approximately 10 cfm or greater, automated purge and pressure relief, and an external 9 kg activated-carbon solvent trap installed beneath and inline with the glovebox, with a bypass angle valve. - Include five rear-wall KF-40 ports initially capped and one electrical feedthrough. The five ports and electrical feedthrough satisfy the stated feedthrough requirement. - Clarifications and performance: Bolted side panels and a removable flanged window are acceptable if performance requirements are met. A 360 mm-diameter large antechamber is acceptable if it is at least 600 mm long; the small antechamber is approximately 150 mm inside diameter and 300 mm long or larger. Clarifications cite leakage below 0.001 Vol%/h and oxygen rise below 2 ppm/h with purification off as performance criteria. - Services and support: Provide delivery, on-site installation, startup, commissioning, functional verification, and English-language user training. Include a minimum three-year limited manufacturer warranty and identify support options after the warranty.

Description

Clemson University is seeking bids for one new inert-atmosphere research glovebox system, including equipment and accessories needed for a complete, operational laboratory system. The scope includes delivery, on-site installation, startup, commissioning, functional verification, and user training. The system must support inert-gas research and include purification, oxygen and moisture monitoring, antechambers, a vacuum pump, solvent-trap components, and required feedthroughs; the solicitation lists detailed performance and facility requirements. This is a one-time purchase to be awarded to one vendor, with award to the lowest responsible and responsive offeror. Addendum 1 provides answers to bidder questions and specifies, among other clarifications, an external 9 kg activated-carbon solvent trap and five blank KF-40 rear-wall ports plus one electrical feedthrough.
