Description

The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued a final rule amending the Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations, 31 CFR part 560. The rule implements certain provisions of the January 10, 2020 Iran-related Executive Order 13902, revises an existing definition and exemption, and incorporates two exemptions from that order. The amendments revise regulations concerning prohibited transactions involving blocked property, humanitarian transactions, official United Nations business, and the definition of Iran for specified provisions. The rule is effective September 30, 2026.
