CMSD snow and ice removal services for district facilities

Cleveland Metropolitan School District is seeking contractors to manage snow and ice at district facilities across four service regions. - Government buyer: Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD), Purchasing Department. - Services requested: Snow plowing of roadways, driveways, and parking areas; application of salt or approved noncorrosive ice melt; and, when directed, snow hauling, pushing back snow piles, and additional snow removal. Sidewalk and walkway clearing is excluded. - Coverage and pricing: Proposals may cover one or more regions. The pricing form lists 61 facilities across four regions: North Eastside (15), South Eastside (15), East and West Central (15), and West Side (16). Pricing is requested per plowing event and per salt or ice-melt application for each facility, plus hourly rates for directed work and equipment with operators. - Equipment and staffing: Contractors must demonstrate the required fleet and staffing capacity, including at least eight plow trucks, three wheel loaders, five skid steers, salt spreaders, snow-hauling equipment and dump trucks, at least five trained operators, and a dedicated operations manager. An equipment inventory, backup capacity, and contingency plan are required. - Operational requirements: Designated areas generally must be cleared by 6:00 a.m. Services may be needed on weekdays, weekends, and holidays and in response to measurable snowfall of one inch or more. Contractors must show relevant multisite experience, maintain adequate staffing and backup capacity, meet site security and background-check requirements, and report property damage. - OEMs and vendors: No equipment manufacturers, product brands, or prospective service vendors are named. Contractors are expected to provide the equipment and services. - Contract term: Three-year base term with two one-year renewal options, for a possible total term of five years.

Cleveland Metropolitan School District is seeking one or more qualified contractors to provide snow and ice management services at approximately 60 District facilities. Services include plowing roadways, driveways, and parking areas and applying salt or approved ice melt, with work generally completed by 6:00 a.m. daily; sidewalk and walkway clearing is excluded. Proposals may cover one or more of four geographic regions, and the District may award multiple contracts. The contract is scheduled to begin November 1, 2026, and run through November 1, 2029, with two one-year renewal options.
