Description
California State University, Sacramento completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identifies the remains of at least 53 individuals and 35,141 associated funerary objects from several sites in northern Tehama County. The notice identifies cultural affiliation with the Grindstone Indian Rancheria of Wintun-Wailaki Indians of California, Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians of California, and Redding Rancheria, California. Repatriation may occur on or after October 30, 2026.
