Union County Workforce Development Board General and Conflict Counsel Services

Union County is seeking qualified legal counsel to support its Workforce Development Board and related County needs. - Government buyer: County of Union, through the Office of the County Counsel and the Union County Workforce Development Board (UCWDB), New Jersey. - Services requested: General and conflict counsel, including legal guidance on Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) matters, board governance, resolutions, compliance, ethics, contracts, disputes and litigation, training, policy development, risk management, and assistance issuing RFPs. - Provider qualifications: At least 10 years of experience; experience serving New Jersey public entities is preferred. - Rate schedule: Partners at $195 per hour, associates at $175 per hour, and paralegals at $100 per hour. Description

The County of Union is seeking qualifications from individuals and firms to provide legal services to the Union County Workforce Development Board, including conflict counsel services when needed and other specialized services to the County. Scope includes legal guidance, regulatory compliance, contract review and negotiation, dispute resolution and litigation support, training, policy development, risk management, and assistance with issuing RFPs. The qualification period is January 1 through December 31, 2027, and the County may qualify one or more respondents. Proposals are due October 22, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. EDT; submissions must include one paper original and one PDF copy on a thumb drive.
