Willow-area railroad right-of-way vegetation clearing and timber removal

Alaska Railroad Corporation is seeking a contractor to clear vegetation and remove timber along its Willow-area railroad right-of-way. - Buyer and project oversight - Buyer: Alaska Railroad Corporation (ARRC), Supply Management. - The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Region X, confirmed the project’s NEPA categorical exclusion; the attachment names Barney Remington. Description

The Alaska Railroad Corporation is seeking qualified contractors to clear vegetation, chip and mulch brush, and remove timber within the railroad right-of-way near Willow, Alaska. The work covers approximately 68.37 acres along an 8.1-mile corridor between Mileposts 186.9 and 195.0; the base bid is 39.67 acres, with two additive alternatives totaling 28.7 additional acres. Work must be performed during active railroad operations and includes providing all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and quality control while coordinating track access and work windows with ARRC. A mandatory, preregistered site visit is required, and bids are due October 20, 2026, at 3:00 P.M.
