Description
Agriculture and Irrigation (AGI), Government of Alberta, is seeking a visual condition assessment and hydraulic evaluation of the Vermilion River reach from Ben’s Lake Diversion Structure to downstream of the Lake Six outlet. The work will assess channel conditions, including constructed and natural sections, and identify constrictions and the effects of vegetation and sediment accumulation on flow capacity. The hydraulic study will evaluate potential impacts on upstream water levels and flood risk. The contractor is to recommend priority cleanout locations and other remedial measures to restore and optimize channel capacity and flow conveyance.
