The City of Spruce Grove is seeking engineering expertise to evaluate the need and options for a new Zone 1 water reservoir. - Government buyer: City of Spruce Grove; no specific department or office is identified. - Requested service: A feasibility study assessing future water-storage requirements and developing conceptual reservoir sizing and location options. - Planning context: The study should account for future demand, reduced capacity at the existing Zone 1 reservoir, and anticipated decommissioning of other storage capacity. - Organizations mentioned: Capital Region Parkland Water Services Commission (CRPWSC) and EPCOR are referenced in the description of the City’s existing water-supply system; neither is identified as a requested vendor. - Quantities and part numbers: No products, quantities, or part numbers are specified. - Expected performance: Approximately five months.
Description
The City of Spruce Grove seeks an assessment of future water storage requirements and a conceptual study of the sizing and location of a new Zone 1 reservoir. The work is needed because the Zone 1 reservoir’s capacity has fallen from 43,000 m³ to approximately 34,000 m³ following the decommissioning of one storage cell, while another cell is approaching the end of its life. The Zone 2 reservoir also provides approximately 6,819 m³ of storage and is expected to be decommissioned soon. The study will support the City’s future demand under its built-out scenario.
