Steeplechase Lift Station Upgrade Construction

Eagle Mountain City’s Public Works Engineering Department is seeking a contractor to upgrade the Steeplechase Lift Station. - Buyer: Eagle Mountain City, Public Works Engineering Department, Utah County, Utah. - OEMs and named brands: Flygt (Concertor pump), Val-Matic (valves), Endress+Hauser (Promag flow meter), EJ (hatch), Proflex (duckbill check valve), and Retro-Grate (X1S fall-protection grate). Several items, including pumps and controls, are identified as provided by others for contractor installation. - Major equipment and quantities: Install 2 Flygt Concertor pumps with bases and guide rails; 2 Val-Matic swing-flex check valves; 3 Val-Matic eccentric plug valves; 1 new 4-inch Endress+Hauser Promag meter; relocate 1 existing 3-inch flow meter; install 1 pump control system; and furnish and install 1 Retro-Grate X1S grate, model A48A48CAAAAA. - Construction materials: Install 1 precast vault with hatch, ladder, sump, and drain; 3-inch PVC piping; 3-inch and 4-inch ductile-iron piping and fittings; and associated elbows, wye, tee, spools, reducer, flange adapters, pipe support, and drain piping. The vault includes a 3-inch Proflex duckbill check valve; the 48-by-48-inch EJ hatch has fall protection. - Work scope: Provide bypass pumping; remove existing pumps, rails, piping, and meter vault; make connections to existing force mains; core and grout pipe penetrations; drain and flush an existing force main; connect electrical components; restore pavement; and remove and replace or relocate bollards as specified. Complete testing, commissioning, cleanup, and project closeout documentation are also required. - Notable requirements: The contractor must install and integrate equipment, including items furnished by others, and deliver a fully operational lift station. A mandatory site meeting, bid and performance/payment bonds, and proposal-stage insurance documentation are specified. - Performance: Completion is required by the end of 2026; no separate start date, duration, or option periods are stated.

Description

Eagle Mountain City is requesting proposals for upgrades to the Steeplechase Lift Station at 1000 N Pony Express Parkway in Eagle Mountain City. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, tools, coordination, and services, and furnish equipment and materials not identified as long-lead items supplied for installation. Work includes bypass pumping, removal of existing infrastructure, installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems, site restoration, and closeout documentation. The project must be complete by December 31, 2026; a 5% bid bond and performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% are required.
