Description

The National Parks Business Plan Internship (BPI) is a graduate-level internship program aimed at improving the business management and operational health of national parks and NPS programs. The program provides students with in-depth training on NPS business management and operations, exposure to park and program level operations, and opportunities to conduct substantive analysis leading to recommendations for strategic planning and management decision-making. It encourages graduate students from underrepresented professional disciplines to explore federal careers with conservation and land management agencies and fosters a lifelong stewardship ethic for public lands. Eligible recipients include state, local and tribal governments, other public entities, educational institutions, and private nonprofit organizations.
