Daniels Court Sewer Pipe Installation and Two-Manhole Replacement

The City of Havelock is seeking a contractor to replace sewer infrastructure at Daniels Court. - Government buyer: City of Havelock, North Carolina; Kimberly Walters, Finance Director. - Scope and quantities: Install approximately 40 feet of 8-inch PVC SDR35 gravity sewer pipe; remove and dispose of two existing brick manholes, P45 and P47, and install two precast concrete manholes with 6-inch ballast rings. Replace terracotta cleanout piping with 30 of 4-inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe. - Additional materials: Approximately 200 of #57 stone bedding; select fill or ABC stone for backfill; 3,500-psi fiber-reinforced concrete for driveway aprons and sidewalks; and asphalt base and S9.5B surface course for pavement restoration. Quantities for these restoration and backfill materials are not specified except for the stone bedding. - Services and technical requirements: Excavation, dewatering, sewage bypass pumping, traffic control, and restoration of driveways, flower beds, and mailboxes. New manholes require third-party vacuum testing to ASTM C1244. Work also requires erosion control, sediment management, and maintaining resident access. - Performance: Complete the work within 30 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
