Description

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for all navigable waters of the Upper Mississippi River from mile marker 109.5 to mile marker 110.5 near Chester, IL. This safety zone is necessary to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from hazards related to bridge demolition operations. Entry into this zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port, Ohio Valley, or a designated representative. The safety zone will be enforced from September 29, 2026, through September 30, 2026, with actual notice enforcement starting September 28, 2026.
