Description

The Gulf Fishery Management Council (Gulf Council) will hold a meeting of its Law Enforcement Technical Committee (LETC), in conjunction with the Gulf States Marine Fisheries Commission's (GSMFC) Law Enforcement Committee (LEC). The meeting will review and discuss various law enforcement activities including hook limitations on commercial longline vessels, crew size restrictions, and joint enforcement agreements. The committee will also present state report highlights and discuss other business items. The meeting is scheduled for October 14, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Miramar Beach, FL.
