The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council will hold a meeting of the Shrimp Workgroup from 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The meeting will discuss potential options for bycatch reduction and/or mitigation in the South Atlantic Federal shrimp trawl fishery, focusing on interactions with smalltooth sawfish and giant manta rays. Representatives from the shrimp fishery, National Marine Fisheries Service, Council staff, Council members, Scientific and Statistical Committee, and relevant researchers will review data and information.
