Description

The Department of the Navy, under the Department of Defense, announces the proposed extension of an approved public information collection related to the Navy Family Accountability and Assessment System (NFAAS). This system is used for personnel accountability following natural or man-made disasters for Navy personnel, civilians, contractors outside the continental US, and their dependents. The collection also supports assessment of disaster impact on Navy families and command mission fulfillment, as well as support during Sailor Individual Augmentation deployments. The notice invites public comment on the necessity, utility, burden, and ways to improve the information collection process.
