The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Utah State Office, in coordination with Price City, is rescinding the Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Upper Price River Watershed Project in Carbon County, Utah. The original NOI was published on June 3, 2021, but NRCS determined it was issued prematurely before confirming viable alternatives and the need for an EIS. The planning process will continue to determine if an EIS is necessary, and if so, a new NOI will be published. The project area includes Price, Helper, Wellington, Price Canyon, and Scofield Reservoir in Carbon County, Utah.
