Description

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Utah State Office, in coordination with Mt. Pleasant City, Pleasant Creek Irrigation Company, and Twin Creek Irrigation Company, is rescinding the Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Pleasant Creek Supplemental Watershed Plan in Sanpete County, Utah. The rescission is due to the determination that the NOI was issued prematurely before confirming viable alternatives and the need for an EIS. The planning process will continue to determine if an EIS is necessary, and if so, a new NOI will be published. The watershed planning process complies with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and is authorized by the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act of 1954 and the Flood Control Act of 1944.
