Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is rescinding exemptions that allowed certain Cessna CE-500 series aircraft, which require two pilots, to be operated by a single pilot. This policy change is due to safety concerns and widespread non-compliance with exemption conditions. The exemptions will no longer be issued, and current exemption holders must cease single-pilot operations effective September 29, 2026. Pilots with logbook endorsements for single-pilot operation must comply with two-pilot requirements under regulations 14 CFR 91.9 and 91.531.
