Description

The University at Buffalo is seeking architectural and engineering design services for building envelope, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and related infrastructure upgrades at the Statler Commissary, a 57,333 square foot facility built in 1976 that serves as the main food distribution center for UB's Dining services. The project includes window and overhead door replacement, exterior building envelope repairs, kitchen ventilation and cooling improvements, air handling unit and chilled water system upgrades, associated electrical work, construction phasing and logistics planning, and hazardous materials abatement. Consultants will be responsible for field verification, design, and preparation of construction documents. The kitchen experiences excessive heat build-up in the summer and requires additional cooling to maintain normal temperatures.
