Los Angeles County is seeking a qualified contractor to remove and replace the existing Built-Up Roofing (BUR) system at Fire Station 42 in Rosemead, CA, and to provide roofing materials for Camp #11 in Acton, CA. - Government Buyer: - Los Angeles County Internal Services Department (ISD), in coordination with the Los Angeles County Fire Department - Buyer contact: Alicia Navarro - Products and Services Requested: - Complete demolition and removal of approximately 3,500 sq ft of existing BUR system at Fire Station 42 - Installation of a new 60-mil mechanically fastened Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing system, including all required flashings, edge metal, pipe boots, sealants, fasteners, terminations, and accessories - Supply and installation of DensDeck roof boards (or equal) as a substrate - Replacement of deteriorated wood roof sheathing as needed - Provision of roofing materials for Camp #11 - Project management, compliance, and daily site clean-up - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs are named; TPO membrane and DensDeck (or equal) are specified, allowing for equivalent products that meet or exceed requirements - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Roofing membrane must be Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) rated and comply with California Title 24 energy standards - Contractor must hold a valid C-39 Roofing and/or B - General Building Contractors license and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) - Mandatory job walk for all bidders - Adherence to prevailing wage laws - 30-year manufacturer's No Dollar Limit (NDL) material warranty and 5-year workmanship warranty required - All work must comply with California Building Code, Cal/OSHA, and other applicable regulations - Project must be completed within 3-4 weeks during normal business hours, with any after-hours work requiring prior approval
