The Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Medical Director for the Choate Center located at 1000 North Main Street, Anna, IL 62906. The Medical Director will provide full-time services including coverage for the I/DD Forensics 40 bed unit and the DBHR 75 bed units, with the latter expected to be phased out by March 2027. The contractor must be a board-certified Psychiatrist and will assist in maintaining certifications from the Joint Commission and IDPH. Responsibilities include supervision of mid-level providers, oversight of patient care, attending meetings, and carrying a small caseload as needed. Work hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with an all-inclusive hourly rate covering malpractice insurance.
