The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), is providing notice of the re-establishment of a matching program between CMS and the Do Not Pay Working System, administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Fiscal Service. The program aims to identify providers and suppliers ineligible for Medicare enrollment, suspend or revoke their billing privileges, recoup past payments, and prevent improper payments. The matching program will run for an initial term of 36 months starting approximately October 19, 2026, with a possible renewal for an additional three years. Comments on the notice are accepted until October 26, 2026.
