Description

The City of Ames is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to establish contract pricing per ton for the purchase of sulfuric acid for the Electric Services Department. The contract period is from November 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027, with pricing fixed throughout the contract. Each shipment will be approximately one truckload of 25 tons, with an estimated 5-6 shipments during the contract period. Deliveries will be made to the Power Plant at 200 E. 5th St., Ames, IA 50010 as requested by the City.
