The NIH Clinical Center is seeking to procure specialized equipment for its new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). - Procurement includes: - One PrisMax V3 Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) machine - One TherMax Blood Warmer accessory - One PrisMax Warmer Arm Kit - Equipment is manufactured by Baxter International Inc. - PrisMax system is uniquely integrated with NIH's EHR and CRIS systems - Intended for pediatric patients (20 kg or more) requiring CRRT and Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) - Sole source justification: PrisMax system's exclusive use and integration at NIH Clinical Center - Total estimated acquisition cost: $32,868.25 - No additional service line items or option years specified - Compatibility with existing hospital systems is a key requirement

Description

With the establishment of the new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), the CC needs to add one PrisMax Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) machine to their existing fleet of 5 Prismax CRRT. The CC successfully integrated the PrisMax with the hospital’s EHR, CRIS in 2020.

PrisMax Systems are intended for:

Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) for patients weighing 20 kilograms or more with acute renal failure and/or fluid overload. Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) therapy for patients weighing 20 kilograms or more with diseases where fluid removal of plasma components is indicated. The TherMax Blood Warmer Accessory is indicated for warming returning blood flow.
