Miami University is seeking bids for the complete roof replacement of Kreger Hall in Oxford, Ohio. - Government Buyer: - Miami University Strategic Procurement - Project architect: GBBN Architects Inc. - OEMs and Vendors: - Ludowici Roof Tile (primary manufacturer for clay roof tiles) - Dow Corning (sealants) - GE (sealants) - Products Requested: - Clay roof tiles (Georgian style, 8x15 inches, Lava Black and Custom Matte colors) - Roofing underlayment (Ludo Pro Perma and Ludo Pro Block) - Copper flashing (16 oz/sq ft ASTM B370 cold rolled copper) - Tile fasteners (copper or stainless steel) - Copper wire (minimum 16 gauge) - Grout, roof cement, sealant, nails, screws, wood nailers, cant strips, adhesive - Services Requested: - Complete roof demolition and installation - Recertification of lightning protection - Site protection, scaffolding, and staging - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All existing clay tile roofing and underlayment must be removed down to the roof deck - Existing adhered ice barrier membrane may remain and be covered with new membrane - Preservation of certain copper gutters and downspouts - 75-year warranty required for clay roof tiles - Coordination with university facilities and adherence to Miami University’s safety and site protection standards - Compliance with prevailing wage rates for Butler County - Building security and watertightness must be maintained throughout construction - Detailed staging and scheduling to avoid disruption during university finals week - Bids must use required OFCC forms - Period of Performance: - All roofing materials must be on hand before work begins - Phased substantial completion milestones, with final completion by project deadline - Construction schedule coordinated with university events and safety requirements

This solicitation is for the replacement of the roof at Kreger Hall, Miami University, located at 500 East Spring Street, Oxford, Ohio. The project involves the removal of all existing layers of roof coverings down to the roof deck, with an exception for the existing ice barrier membrane which may remain and be covered with an additional layer.
