Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) is seeking proposals for high-capacity Internet Services and optional Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation to support its district-wide connectivity needs. - Government Buyer: - Virginia Beach City Public Schools - Office of Procurement Services - Products/Services Requested: - Dedicated Internet Services at two district locations: - School Administration Building: Minimum 10 Gbps symmetrical bandwidth, scalable up to 20 Gbps - Corporate Landing Data Center: Minimum 10 Gbps symmetrical bandwidth, scalable up to 20 Gbps - Includes all necessary equipment, installation, and initial configuration - Optional DDoS Mitigation Service: - Solution must include detection, scrubbing capacity, reporting, and support - Pricing quoted separately as E-Rate ineligible - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors named; solicitation is open to qualified providers of high-bandwidth Internet and DDoS solutions - Unique/Notable Requirements: - E-Rate Category 1 eligibility and compliance - FCC supply chain compliance - Network resiliency and diversity - Service Level Agreements (SLAs) required - Bandwidth upgrades allowed during contract term without extension - All-inclusive pricing; separation of E-Rate eligible/ineligible costs - Multi-year contract with up to four one-year renewals - Timely reporting and support - Installation and initial configuration included - DDoS mitigation is optional and must be detailed in the proposal - Evaluation Criteria: - Cost, technical approach, and network diversity are heavily weighted
