IDEA Public Schools is seeking proposals for E-Rate Category Two network equipment and installation services to upgrade multiple Texas campuses. - Government Buyer: - IDEA Public Schools (Texas school district) - Contact: Cristina Gomez - OEMs and Vendors: - Cisco Systems (preferred for wireless access points and switches) - Eaton (preferred for uninterruptible power supplies) - Chatsworth (potential OEM for racks) - Equivalent products from other manufacturers are acceptable - Products Requested: - 690 wireless access points (Cisco Systems or equivalent) - 129 network switches (Cisco Systems or equivalent) - 1230 antennas, connectors, and related components (no OEM preference) - 63 network equipment racks (Chatsworth or equivalent) - 139 uninterruptible power supplies/battery backups (Eaton or equivalent) - 139 feet of network cabling (no OEM preference) - Services Requested: - Turnkey installation and initial configuration of all network equipment - Removal of legacy equipment - Testing and performance validation - Ongoing maintenance and support for installed equipment - Managed internal broadband services - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Solutions must be functionally equivalent or superior to existing equipment - Must integrate with current infrastructure - Compliance with E-Rate and FCC regulations required - Vendors must provide valid Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) and FCC Registration Number (FCCRN) - Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Cisco) may be required - Subcontractors allowed with prior approval - Comprehensive support and maintenance plans expected - Project covers multiple IDEA Public Schools sites; may involve relocation or deployment as needed

Description

This solicitation is for the provision of E-Rate Category Two (CAT 2) network equipment and installation services to support network refresh projects at multiple IDEA Public Schools sites in Texas. The project involves replacing existing network electronics approaching end-of-life with functionally equivalent or superior solutions that integrate with existing infrastructure. Services include equipment procurement, delivery, installation, configuration, testing, performance validation, maintenance, removal of legacy equipment, and submission of required project documentation. The objective is to establish a turnkey, scalable, and reliable network infrastructure that supports current and future technology needs while ensuring compliance with E-Rate program requirements and FCC regulations.
