This solicitation is for the construction of a heavy-duty construction laydown area within the median space at the intersection of Provincial Trunk Highway 1 (PTH 1 / Trans-Canada Highway) and Freedom Road. The laydown area will cover approximately 5,000 m² and is designed to store high-tonnage aggregates and support heavy truck staging. The facility will provide structural protection against severe seasonal freeze-thaw cycles and high-speed highway interface risks. The project includes mobilization, traffic control, crushed rock supply, geotextile installation, and clearing and grubbing within the highway median right-of-way.
