Description

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will conduct a voluntary Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Electronic Export Manifest (EEM) for Truck Cargo Test. Participants agree to submit limited export manifest data electronically at least 24 hours prior to departure from the U.S. to a foreign destination, complemented by a complete export manifest filing no later than two hours prior to arrival at the final port of export. The test aims to streamline export procedures, improve cargo safety and security, and reduce costs and delays. CBP is accepting applications until nine qualified parties are selected, and public comments are invited throughout the test period.
