The Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is publishing two general licenses (GLs) issued pursuant to the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations: GL 5X and 5Y. These licenses authorize certain transactions related to the Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. 2020 8.5 Percent Bond on or after specified dates in 2026. GL 5X was issued on June 18, 2026, and GL 5Y was issued on August 3, 2026, replacing the previous licenses. The licenses were previously made available on OFAC's website and are now published in the Federal Register.
