Description

The University of Kansas has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory includes one individual and 142 associated funerary objects such as drills, projectile points, ceramic pipes, and other artifacts. There is a cultural affiliation between these remains and the Pamunkey Indian Tribe. Repatriation of these items may occur on or after October 23, 2026, with requests for repatriation to be sent to the University of Kansas.
