Description

Auburn University at Montgomery has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory includes remains of at least five individuals and 478 associated funerary objects. The university has determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and objects and several Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. Repatriation of these items may occur on or after October 23, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be submitted to the authorized representative at Auburn University at Montgomery.
