Description

Auburn University at Montgomery has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identified a cultural affiliation between the remains and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The human remains represent one individual of Native American ancestry, and the associated funerary object is a fragment of a deer long bone. Repatriation may occur on or after October 23, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be sent to the authorized representative at Auburn University at Montgomery.
