Description

The New York City Department of Correction (DOC) is seeking information from qualified firms capable of providing a modern visitor fingerprint identification system (VFIS) to replace its legacy central visits fingerprint platform. The system should support inmate visitation operations across DOC facilities, register first-time visitors, capture and store biometric data, match returning visitors, and support high-volume throughput at multiple secure correctional facilities. This Request for Information (RFI) is for informational and strategic planning purposes only and will guide the development of a future procurement. The DOC reserves the right to consider responses to develop a Request for Proposals (RFP) but does not guarantee any future solicitation or award.
