Description

The City of Iowa City is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide bus repair, rebuilding, refurbishment, and related services for its Transportation Services Department. The scope includes transmission repair, rebuild, or replacement, as well as engine repair, rebuild, or removal and replacement with Cummins ReCon Engines for a fleet of 40 Low Floor vehicles. Vendors must provide estimates within 24 hours, begin repairs within 48 hours of receiving parts, and return completed vehicles promptly. The contract term is one year with the possibility of four one-year renewals. Proposals must be submitted online via Ion Wave, and all questions must be submitted in writing by October 5, 2026.
