This opportunity is for mechanical and construction services to repair and restore two Marley NC8302EL2 cooling towers at the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). - Government Buyer: - University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), part of the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) - Office: UNLV Department of Purchasing and Contracts; Planning & Construction and Real Estate - OEMs and Vendors: - Marley (manufacturer of the NC8302EL2 cooling towers) - Products/Services Requested: - Replacement of deteriorated fill media (2 units) compatible with Marley NC8302EL2 - Replacement of drift eliminators (2 units) - Replacement of casing panels, basin components, and fan sheaves with 304 stainless steel or OEM-approved materials - Inspection, repair, or replacement of mechanical components (motor, fan blades, fan shaft, gear box, bearings, couplings, drive components) - Structural repairs, corrosion control, and application of zinc-rich coatings - Commissioning and acceptance testing (1 lot) - Training for facilities management personnel (minimum 4 hours) - Provision of operation and maintenance manuals (1 set) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Bidders must be licensed mechanical/HVAC contractors with Nevada State Contractors Board classification - Compliance with Nevada prevailing wage and apprenticeship utilization laws - Mandatory pre-bid conference and site walk - Project completion required by January 2027; $500/day liquidated damages for delays - One-year warranty post-acceptance - All replacement materials must be 304 stainless steel or OEM-approved - Training and manuals required for UNLV staff
