Description

The Department of Environmental Protection intends to enter into a sole source agreement with Azure Water Services, LLC for the purchase of Purate. Purate is used by the Bureau of Water Supply to create chlorine dioxide, which helps remove biofilm from aqueduct walls, enhances pretreatment of the Croton water supply to reduce algae, and oxidizes soluble manganese and iron while lowering disinfection byproducts. The contract involves supply and delivery of Purate to specified DEP locations. Interested firms authorized to provide such products may submit an expression of interest.
