The City of Alabaster is soliciting proposals from qualified insurance brokerage firms to provide comprehensive property and casualty insurance brokerage, risk-management, loss-control, policy-administration, and claims-advocacy services. The selected broker will serve as the City’s strategic insurance advisor and day-to-day service partner, emphasizing hands-on, relationship-based service, direct access to assigned personnel, proactive communication, local or regional response capability, and active advocacy during significant claims. Services include evaluation of the City’s existing insurance program, renewal planning and marketing, policy placement and administration, claims support, risk-management assistance, property valuation, coverage analysis, loss-control services, contract and certificate review, and recommendations concerning municipal exposures. The anticipated contract term is three years, with up to two additional one-year renewal options at the City’s discretion.
