Description
The Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) is soliciting proposals from qualified, experienced, and licensed railroad contractors to perform Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) required routine inspections, tests, and maintenance, including on-call emergency callout maintenance services for railroad signal equipment along SMART’s Brazos Junction Subdivision. This opportunity supports SMART's Freight Division and requires the prime contractor to hold an A-General Engineering Contractor's License and active registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). The contract has a 3-year base term with two one-year options to extend and will be funded using State of California grant funds or SMART Local Funds.
