The City of Fort Myers is seeking qualified professional firms to provide comprehensive engineering, environmental, permitting, and construction phase services for stormwater drainage improvements along First Street in downtown Fort Myers. The project aims to reduce flooding impacting approximately 1 mile of First Street from Edison Bridge west toward Virginia Avenue by increasing system capacity to mitigate flooding from heavy rainfall and coastal influences. The scope includes evaluation, design, permitting, and support for construction of stormwater infrastructure such as upsized piping, culverts, drainage structures, and roadway restoration.
