Description

This project involves targeted site improvements at two buildings within Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site located at 5925 Highway 9, St. Andrews, MB. The Visitor Reception Centre improvements include upgrades to main entrance pathways with concrete pouring, hardscape and softscape enhancements, landscape plantings, exterior electrical lighting, water conveyance, and a new automatic arm gate. The Big House improvements focus on drainage and water management, including installation of new eavestroughs and downspouts, drainage improvements at the rear of the building with a concrete pad and drains to mitigate water infiltration risks. The work must be substantially completed by March 31, 2027, and fully completed by June 30, 2027.
