Description

The Department of National Defence (DND) requires an independent third party to conduct a comprehensive review of the Office of the DND/Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Ombudsman. The review aims to examine the governance structure and authorities of the Office and benchmark it against similar ombudsman functions within the Government of Canada, other governments, and allied militaries. This effort supports Justice Fish's Recommendation #103 to assess if additional measures are needed to enhance the Office's independence and effectiveness.
