Austin Energy, the municipally owned utility for the City of Austin, is seeking consulting and program management services to expand its Commercial Demand Response Program. - Government Buyer: - City of Austin, Austin Energy - Scope of Services: - Support and expand Commercial Demand Response and Emergency Response Service programs - Increase customer participation and add significant demand response megawatts - Expand Automated Demand Response (ADR) using Open Automated Demand Response (OpenADR) protocols and a Demand Response Management System - Provide planning, administrative, technical, marketing, customer enrollment, automated system design and installation, event management, reporting, and program evaluation services - Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Austin Energy's cybersecurity and network access policies - Adherence to identity theft prevention measures - OpenADR protocol compliance for automated demand response equipment - Current Program Stats: - Over 70 customers with nearly 900 accounts - Achieved 14.5MW event performance in recent summer - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Contract is time and materials, with an initial 12-month term and up to four 12-month extension options
