SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking architect/engineering teams for a major renovation project: - Government Buyer: - State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University - Contracts & Campus Purchasing Office - Scope of Work: - Full design services for renovation of approximately 7,000 sq ft on the 4th floor of the Physicians Office Building North at Community Hospital - Services include programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration - Renovated space will support both the Ophthalmology Clinic and Optometry Program, with some shared support spaces but otherwise independent operations - Design must comply with Article 28 requirements for healthcare facilities, as well as NYS and FGI codes - Requirements: - Firms must have at least ten years of experience in outpatient healthcare facility design - Must be legally authorized by the NYS Education Department to do business in New York State - Proof of New York State Worker's Compensation and Disability Insurance required - MWBE participation goals: 15% MBE, 15% WBE - SDVOB participation goal: 6% - Workforce participation goals: 10% WBE, 10% MBE - Notable past vendors for similar work include: - Dwyer - Stantec - QPK - King and King - Period of Performance: - Design phase: 275 days - Construction phase: 365 days - Total contract term: 820-840 days - No specific product line items; primary service is architectural and engineering design for healthcare facility renovation.

Description

The State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University is seeking qualifications for full design services including programming, design, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration for the renovation of approximately 7,000 square feet on the 4th floor of the POB North building at Community Hospital. The renovation will accommodate both the Ophthalmology Clinic and Optometry Program, which will share some support spaces but function independently. The design must comply with Article 28 requirements.
