The City of Rockford Public Works Department is seeking bids for Phase II renovation of the Rockford Family Peace Center. - Government Buyer: - City of Rockford Public Works Department - Finance Department Central Services Division - OEMs and Vendors: - HVAC DDC manufacturers: Honeywell, Tridium/Niagara, Schneider Electric (Niagara platform) - Approved DDC installers: Hartwig Mechanical, Alpha Controls & Services - Signage manufacturers: TAKEFORM Sign Company, ASI Signs, Gemini Sign Company, APCO Signs - Products/Services Requested: - HVAC Direct Digital Control (DDC) system (installed by approved vendors) - Access control system: credential readers/keypads, control panels/controllers, enclosures, central equipment hardware/software, badging system, programming/database updates - Video surveillance equipment: security camera cabling, recorder, storage, VMS/software licensing, subscription/licensing responsibilities (clarification pending) - Regulatory signage: ADA and life safety code compliant signs for various rooms (total quantity: 27, including 3 toilet room signs and 24 other regulatory signs) - General construction and renovation services - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Furniture (FF&E) is excluded from scope - No IDOT prequalification or liquidated damages for late completion - BEP goals (16%), Section 3, and Illinois Works requirements apply - Permit fees are waived; temporary heating available - Asbestos sampling and environmental reports included - Mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit - Performance/payment bond required within 14 days of award - Bid acceptance period is 60 days
